Court limits federal help in killing problem wolves
by K.C. Mehaffey
TACOMA — A little-known federal agency that has
helped Washington state deal with problem wolves can no longer assist in
lethal removal, a federal judge ruled last month.
The Dec. 17 ruling is in response to a lawsuit brought by five
conservation groups against Wildlife Services, a program in the U.S.
Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services.
