Wolves, Raptors, overtake Rancho Santa Ana for event


Annual ‘Things That Go Bump in the Night’ event at Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden takes place Friday and Saturday night.

Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden’s annual ‘Things That Go Bump in the Night,’ provides a unique, and exclusive, opportunity to get up close and personal with animals and plants that are otherwise Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden’s annual ‘Things That Go Bump in the Night,’ provides a unique, and exclusive, opportunity to get up close and personal with animals and plants that are otherwise elusive creatures of the night. ‘Things That Go Bump in the Night,’ gives guests the chance to observe and learn about notoriously spooky wolves, owls, opossums, spiders and various plants in this controlled environment.

The two-night, family-friendly event allows visitors to follow Garden paths with a passport, and visit interactive stations exploring the nature world at night and its amazing critters.


The evening will include special guests, the Parasitic Insect Show, which is a comedic ‘Bug’ show for the whole family, Project Wildsong -- which will have several live baby and adult wolves for families to interact with and learn about, Wild Wings of California -- featuring incredible birds, and a local Food Truck to make it an evening to remember.

The event will take place on Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden, 1500 N. College Avenue, in Claremont.
