Let’s tell WI Department of Natural resources what’s on our minds concerning WI’s wild wolf populations.

Get the facts first.

Wolves are stressed out from three years of reckless wolf hunts that include, hound hunting dogs chasing them down in state sanctioned dog fights. http://wolvesofdouglascountywisconsin.com/2014/08/13/wodcw-faq-sheet-on-wolf-hound-hunting/

Trapping of wolves: GLWP findings here: http://wolfpatrol.org/2014/10/23/media-release-glwp-documents-illegal-wolf-trapping-activity-hunters-kill-over-quota-wdnr-takes-no-action/
Scientists have written not one but two letters to USFWS asking that WI’s wolves be re- listed because of missing data, concerns of illegal killing, wolves not breeding to name a few of their concerns. Scientists have proof that WDNR has not followed the USFWS’s post delisting rules. And now this latest debauchery by WDNR mismanaging Wolf hunt management zones by going over wolf kill quotas in two zones. Then making up these overages by ignoring public concerns, not bothering to adhere to wolf kill state quota agreement of 150. WI residents want wolves according to WDNR’s own wolf social survey. Get the full, story here: http://wolvesofdouglascountywisconsin.com/2014/08/28/8281wdnr-wolf-survey-results-the-good-bad-and-the-ugly-by-rachel-tilseth/

Yet Cathy Stepp, head of WDNR, has shown little regard for what citizens want by excluding those who have, and have had a stake in discussions regarding wolves. Stacking her WI Wolf Advisory Committee full of pro wolf hunt groups.
