Thank you for making Wolf Day 2014 a success!
“Wolf supporters are all over this place!”
It was the constant refrain heard this past Thursday at Wolf Day 2014, in Minnesota’s state capitol. Thanks to all of your efforts, it was a huge success.
Attendees described the event as "electrifying" and "unifying." We urged legislators to pass bills for improved data collection on wolves, full implementation of the Minnesota DNR's Wolf Management Plan, and a temporary suspension of the wolf hunt.
In addition to our many advocates, we heard inspiring messages from Minnesota State Senator Chris Eaton (DFL-Brooklyn Park) and Minnesota State Representative Jason Isaacson (DFL-Shoreview). We even had a special video greeting from Jane Goodall, PhD., DBE, and founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace to start the rally.
Thank you again to all our attendees, and a special thank you to the incredible volunteers, some of whom worked for months to make Wolf Day 2014 a great success. With an attendance of over 400 people, Wolf Day 2014 was one of the largest capitol day events.
As we move forward from this day of inspiration and action, Howling For Wolves asks for those who want change for Minnesota’s wolves, to keep us moving forward. Together, this session we can make that change for the wolf. Howling for Wolves is continuing our effort at the Minnesota legislature day in and day out. But we cannot do it alone. Can you help with a donation to our efforts?
With your help, we can continue to do so.
For the wolves,
Howling for Wolves
