Dear California Wolf Center Supporter,
This is a reminder that the proposed delisting hearings are fast approaching, and we need your help to speak up for wolves!
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is holding public hearings on the
proposal to delist nearly all gray wolves across the country and on
planned changes that could threaten the future of Mexican gray wolves.
need supporters like you to come in person to show your support for
continued federal protections for wolves and to make sure Mexican gray
wolves have the best chance at recovery. FWS has only scheduled three
hearings across the country, so every voice counts!
California residents, this is your chance to make a difference for wolves! Wolf recovery in California has only barely begun, and federal protections are critical to ensure a future for wolves in our state. Your presence at this hearing on October 2 will help make that happen.
California Wolf Center is co-sponsoring a pre-hearing meet-up organized
by our friends at Defenders of Wildlife, who will be training wolf
supporters to testify on behalf of wolves (click herefor
helpful talking points). There will short talks by inspirational
leaders, refreshments, and fun activities. Even if you do not wish to
testify, your presence will make a huge difference in showing support
Will you join us in Sacramento on October 2nd to make a difference for wolves?
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is planning to implement changes
that threaten the continued existence of Mexican gray wolves. Only one
hearing will be held on this proposal.
Science and conservation groups throughout the four corners states and beyond are organizing a Save the Lobo event on
the day of the hearing. Mexican gray wolves need your support to ensure
their recovery - currently, they stand at the brink of extinction.
