Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife released this video of a wolf pup from the Snake River pack howling. You can hear other wolves howling back – the sound is incredible.
The video was taken last week by an ODFW employee surveying for wolf pups in the Summit Ridge area of the Snake River Management Unit in northeast Oregon’s Wallowa County.
According to ODFW, wolf howls can be heard from several miles away.
