Binghamton Zoo Welcomes 3 New Red Wolves

Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park

The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park is proud to welcome 3 new red wolves to the Wolf Woods exhibit.

The mother and 2 daughter wolves come from Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo.  Mommma, Piglet and Miku will be on one side of Wolf Woods whil Remus the grey wolf will be on the other side.

If you are going to Courtship Tails on February 8, 9, 15 and 16th then you’ll have the first opportunity to see the wolves. Everybody else will have to wait for the grand opening on April 19th. So get your Courtship Tails tickets now.

The red wolves were listed as Extinct in the Wild in 1980. The US Fish and Wildlife Service caught 14 of the remaining population and housed them in a captive breeding facility. There are only approximately 175 wolves left, they are considered Critically Endangered by the IUCN.
