Never,
never be afraid to do what’s right, especially if the well-being of a
person or animal is at stake. Society’s punishments are small compared
to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way. – Martin Luther King, Jr.
Rally officially begins at 11:00am.

Selfsame Hands
I was made with the selfsame hands
From fur to paws to eyes
My speed and beauty and family ways
A gaze that can mesmerize
The same divine tools that craft a child
Brought me into being
To keep the wilderness pristine
Healthy and serene
So why is my body broken
Tortured and defiled
I ask the man standing over me
What could possibly make him smile
For thousands of years we have been a team
Haven’t I helped you stand
And don’t you see that just like you
I was made with those selfsame hands
