Video: On wolves and hunting in northern Minnesota

The sudden chorus of howls on a dark night in the woods awakens a primal set of emotions in most of us.
The recent announcement by the Minnesota Department of Natural
Resources to open a wolf hunting season this fall unleashes an entirely
different set of feelings — and they vary among each of us.
Now that the federal government has removed the gray wolves of the
western Great Lakes from its list of endangered species, the official
decisions over a wolf hunting and trapping season of canis lupis are
being made in the state capitol in St. Paul. — Dave Orrick
